The truth behind being an entrepreneur

I'm just going to give it to Y'all straight, but let's start from the beginning. I've wanted to be a cosmetologist since I was a kid. "Like that was the goal" but as I got older my mindset changed. I graduated from college and started working a "good job" that I ended up hating! The thought of sitting at a desk all day still gives me anxiety. I'm not knocking it; I just know it's not for me. After my dad passed I was like eff it, "life's too short", I'm too young to be miserable. So I talked my support system and came up with a plan to resign. Of course, there were some people that thought I was crazy but; If you know me.... you know I do what I want lol. Besides my immediate family was all for it. I could tell my mom "I want to eat tacos for a living" and she would say "flour or corn?" hahaha. After resigning, I moved to Georgia where I received my cosmetology license, then shortly moved to LA. I'm from Philly so LA is way more than a hop, skip, and jump away from home. Once I moved to LA I started working jobs that didn't pay nearly as much as what I was used to. From being a server, assistant, receptionist, and so much more. The dedication is real. After working lots and lots of jobs, I'm so happy to say I have my own salon studio in LA. Pats self on the back. I'm coming up on a full year, but would be lying and if I said it's always easy. A lot of people see the final results, but don't see the time put in. As an entrepreneur, you have to work twice as hard, and if you don't have a team, your literally doing everything. E V E R Y T H I N G! You don't get paid vacation time, or get to slack off because your shifts about to end. What you put in is what you get out. Sometimes I get discouraged but have to remind myself "If it were easy, everyone would be doing it". Do I think it's worth it? Absolutely! I wouldn't change it for the world. The point is in order to be successful as an entrepreneur, or anything for that matter: you have to work really hard and make sacrifices for what you want. The question is "Are you willing to do it?"
